anticipation (carly simon)

Carly Simon's "Anticipation" is one of the very first pop song commercials I can remember. Gets only a 41.88 based on the fact that it was a fairly lightweight but catchy tune sung by a rich publisher's daughter who nevertheless gained some artistic credability. However, also points out the need for an intangible category, since it's arguable that "Anticipation" anticipated the later explosion of pop song sellouts and therefore warrants deeper outrage than the song might otherwise merit.
