Texas Democratic Primary

Republican Primary (Mar. 4)

The Texas Democratic Party apportions its delegates to the national convention based on results from two separate series of election contests:

(1) 126 delegates will be awarded based on primary elections in 31 state senate districts.
(2) 67 delegates will be awarded based on a series of local precinct caucuses.

Democratic voters in the state may participate in both a primary election and a caucus, but to participate in a caucus a voter must first cast a vote in a primary.

The results tables below represent the statewide election results from both the state senate district elections and the local precinct caucuses.
