Mike Ross was born on Aug. 2, 1961, in Texarkana, Ark. and currently lives in Prescott, Ark. He graduated from Hope High School, in the hometown of President Clinton and Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee. Ross graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a bachelor's degree in political science.
He was elected to the Nevada County (Ark.) Quorum Court in 1982 and served until 1985, when he became chief of staff for then-Lt. Gov. Winston Bryant. He served as director of Bryant's Youth Suicide Prevention Commission.
He and his wife, Holly Ross, own a pharmacy and health equipment company in his hometown of Prescott. They have two children.
