Boaz "Bo" ItsHaky was born in Afula, Israel, and raised in a kibbutz known as Ramot Menashe. He now resides in Bethany. He earned two master's, one in oriental medicine and one in acupuncture, at Tri-State College of Acupuncture in New York.

ItsHaky completed his military service in the late 1970s. He then traveled the world, spending most of the 1980s in Switzerland where he studied massage therapy and shiatsu.

ItsHaky moved to Bethany in 1989 where he started a private practice. He worked at Gaylord Hospital in Wallingford from 1994 to 2003 practicing rehabilitation and physical medicine.

ItsHaky later had a private practice in New York, where he studied acupuncture. He is a licensed acupuncturist in both Connecticut and New York, and a licensed massage therapist in Connecticut.

ItsHaky is divorced.
