On the Issues

What is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

Lack of equity in education programs, facilities, staffing and fiscal resources continues to plague Ward 8 schools. In education programs, we lack specialty and small-school programs and resources that schools west of the park receive. Available data on staffing indicate that District 4 schools continue to suffer from fewer certified teachers and teachers assigned to subjects outside their expertise. Principals are being placed who have fewer than three years of experience as academic leaders. We also lack equity in access to vocational education programs and do not receive the same level of prioritization within the modernization program.

Why should voters elect you?

Experienced/accountability. Voters should elect me because I possess the needed experience, I am committed and I am accountable.
