Rob Hubler was born near Minneapolis, Kan., and he now resides in Council Bluffs. He earned a bachelor's at Parsons College in 1971 and graduated from University of Dubuque Theological Seminary in 1989
Hubler served in the Navy for seven years. He worked for Sen. Dick Clark and directed the unsuccessful 3rd District ongressional campaign of Lynn Cutler.
Hubler was a pastor at several Iowa churches until his retirement in 2000.
