A former hockey player, Steven Mathew Greenberg works for his family's distribution company, which supplies mom-and-pop retailers with products and advertising help so they can compete with the big chains. He also owns a Ben Franklin outlet store in Green Bay, Wis. and a warehouse company in Danville, Ill., for storing products for other businesses.
Greenberg used to play hockey for a minor league affiliate of the Washington Capitals, but he says on his campaign Web site that an injury kept him out of the National Hockey League.
He and his wife, Kristine, have three children.
