Steve Alesch was born and July 4, 1955 in Chicago, grew up in the city's northwest suburbs and lives in Warrenville. He earned his masters in computer science from Illinois Institute of Technology, where he taught for a brief time.
Alesch has worked as a software engineer for 13th Congressional District for more than 28 years. He is also a co-chair of the DuPage County Green Party, a member of DuPage Against War Now and the DuPage Chapter of the Illinois Ballot Integrity Project.
Steve was engaged to fiance, Kathleen M. Groenwald, who died May 30, 2008.
