Scott Summers was born in Evanston, Ill. on May 23, 1949 has lived in Harvard Ill. for nearly 30 years.
He's worked as an attorney for more than 20 years concentrating in estate planning, probate and business. He earned his law degree from Northern Illinois University and also has a MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
He penned the books, "Guardianship and Conservatorship: A Handbook for Lawyers" and "Advance Health Care Directives: A Handbook for Professionals."
Summers has spent most his life involving himself in civic affairs. He is the chairman of the McHenry County College Board of Trustees and served as a member of the Board of Visitors of NIU's College of Law.
Summers was also treasurer for the nonprofits organizations Harvard Community Memorial Hospital, Hospice for McHenry County, and a church in Woodstock, Ill.
He is married and two adult sons.
