About The Candidate

Education

  • Indiana University, MSW
  • Saint Mary's College, BA

Gabrielle Nicole Campo is a social worker who grew up in Indianapolis and graduated from Cathedral High School.

Campo has been on several local committees, including the Indiana Coalition to Improve Adolescent Health and Marion County's Underage-Binge Drinking Prevention Task Force. She is a member of the Italian Heritage Society and directs Theology on Tap Indianapolis, a group of young Catholics who meet at local bars to discuss religious issues and learn about the church.

Republicans selected Campo to run in the 7th District after Jon Elrod dropped out of the race last month to instead seek re-election to the state House seat he was giving up to run for Congress. She faces incumbent Andre Carson, a Democrat who is expected to hold onto his seat in the predominantly Democratic district.
