Kieran Lalor was born in Wappingers Falls and now resides in Peekskill. He earned a bachelor's at Providence College and a juris doctorate at Pace University Law School in 2007. He became a high school teacher after graduating from Providence College.
Lalor's Marine reserve unit was sent to Iraq for five months in 2003 and he later organized support-the-troops rallies. He and other reservists traveled on their own to New Orleans to assist victims of Hurricane Katrina.
Lalor and his wife, Mary Jo, have two daughters.
