George Mays, 52, was born in Springfield, Ohio and currently lives in Norwalk, Ohio.
After high school, he attended Campbellsville College in Kentucky where he received a degree in psychology. He also received a Master of Divinity from Ashland University in Ohio. He has worked with churches and charities including the Salvation Army.
Mays most recently has been self-employed at a karaoke and disc jockey business.
He and his wife, Magdalena, have four children.
