Nancy Harrelson was born in Mullins, a town in the heart of South Carolina's tobacco and farming country about an hour from Myrtle Beach. She now resides in Marion.
She and her husband, Larry, were students at Marion High School and they moved to Oklahoma where they both attended the Oklahoma Baptist Institute.
Harrelson raised the couple's children while she worked in real estate. After the family returned to South Carolina to live in Marion, she continued selling real estate and began working for her husband's construction business.
She now works only in construction and real estate development with her husband. They have two children.
