Randy G. Morris is a Waynesboro native. He has a degree in accounting from Tennessee Technological University.

Morris runs his own convenience store businesses and is also chairman of the Wayne County Democratic Party.

Morris was the controller for the Wayne County Hospital from 1985 to 1996, and before that he was an accountant for the Tennessee Department of Correction. He also served as an aircraft repairman in the Air Force from 1971 to 1975.

Morris is an elder and chairman of the board of the First Christian Church in Waynesboro.

He is making his second bid for Congress in the heavily Republican 7th Congressional district that spans from the suburbs of Memphis through the outskirts of Nashville to Clarksville on the Kentucky border.

Morris and his wife, Katherine, have two children.
