The Republican nominee for the 3rd Congressional district is a former place kicker at Brigham Young University and chief of staff for popular Republican Gov. Jon Huntsman. Jason Chaffetz proudly proclaims that he was a convert to the Republican Party and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which owns BYU. Since 2005, he has been a marketing and communications consultant.
Chaffetz and his wife, Julie, have three children.
