Gary Trauner was born in Mt. Vernon, N.Y., and he now resides in Wilson. He earned a bachelor's in mathematical economics at Colgate University in 1980 and a master's in business at New York University in 1982.
Trauner has lived in Wyoming for 14 years. He consults people on starting new businesses and previously worked in corporate finance in New York City.
Trauner and his wife, Terry, have two children.
