I have never spend a minute standing in line at a polling station, but I have voted in every presidential election since I turned 18. I put the absentee envelope in the mailbox and assume it is never counted. It seems a silly ritual, but I am a Florida voter, so I feel compelled to attempt to participate.

California Voters Face Few Problems

State: California

California voters faced few problems at the polls today, despite isolated cases of power outages and fear of some ballot shortages in what election officials predict will be a record-breaking turnout. The California secretary of state's office did not receive reports of voting problems besides the power outages in Los Angeles and poll workers who overslept. Record-breaking voter registration pushed officials to add precincts and poll workers and order more ballots to meet the expected demand. ( Read More »
