Paper ballots - Diebold counting machine. Was in and at a booth in under 5 minutes. Polls opened at 7:00am, I was there at 7:45, and was number 112 to vote. Great experience! Read More »

I had accidentally left my wallet behind, and got to the polls VERY late - in fact I was the last voter in the city. I had to sign an affidavit affirming my identity, although several of the poll workers have known me all my life(my priest, the city clerk). My vote was excepted no problem-thanks to Michigans good system. Have an ID or sign to vouch for yourself. Read More »

After seeing the media reports of long lines I decided to jump the gun. I rolled out of bed at 5:00am and was the first to reach my poll at 5:20. I was somewhat proud to be the first ballot cast in my district. As I waited I was very impressed with voter turn out. My neighbors came out in numbers to help decide this election.
