I have never spend a minute standing in line at a polling station, but I have voted in every presidential election since I turned 18. I put the absentee envelope in the mailbox and assume it is never counted. It seems a silly ritual, but I am a Florida voter, so I feel compelled to attempt to participate. Read More »

The voting place is a church with voting machines located under a large Cross hanging from the ceiling. So much for separation of church and State! Clarksburg has a very large new high school with plenty of parking spaces which could have been used instead. Read More »

There was one scanner with a long line of voters. The machine broke and voters left without voting, after having filled out the ballot. The officials opened the machine and removed all the ballots in view of voters, with what appeared to be another voter helping repair the machine. Many voters took photos and videos of the outbursts and malfunction., with concern that the ballots would be accurately counted. Read More »

Precincts 6 and 7 both use Barclay E.S. and there was a lot of confusion with two lines and little instruction as to which line is for which precinct. Further complicating the issue is that this is also the 7th legislative district which was apparently easy to confuse with the 7th precinct. Also, an election judge (!) was telling people that they had to vote in under 2 minutes or their vote wouldn't count! Read More »
