Law School, 1963; admitted to the New York bar in 1964 and commenced practice in New York City; Ithaca (N.Y.) city prosecutor, 1968; Tompkins County, N.Y., district attorney, 1969-1972; member, New York State Democratic Committee, 1972-1974; elected as a Democrat to the Ninety-fourth and to the eight succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1975-January 3, 1993); was not a candidate for renomination in 1992 to the One Hundred Third Congress; is a resident of Falls Church, Va.
