VENTO, Bruce Frank, a Representative from Minnesota; born in St. Paul, Ramsey County, Minn., October 7, 1940; attended the public schools of St. Paul; attended St. Thomas College, St. Paul, 1958-1959; A.A., University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, 1961; B.S., Wisconsin State University, River Falls, 1965; graduate studies, University of Minnesota, 1966; taught in Minneapolis, Minn., public schools, 1965-1976; served in Minnesota house of representatives, 1971-1976; elected as a Democrat-Farmer-Labor candidate to the Ninety-fifth and to the eleven succeeding Congresses; was not a candidate for reelection to the One Hundred Seventh Congress; served from January 3, 1977, until his death in St. Paul, Minn., on October 10, 2000.
