This measure would reduce the maximum length of a regular legislative session from 121 days to 90 days. Text of Ballot Item
Natural gas tax and production credit (05GAS2)
This measure would levy new state tax on certain oil and gas leases overlying large deposits of natural gas. When a major gas pipeline system is built and gas is transported, resource tax will be repealed and leaseholders will become eligible for tax credits for some of these taxes previously paid, which could be used to reduce future production taxes.
