On the Issues

What is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

Emerging from the Great Recession, it is vital that our county restores the programs that have been cut over the past few years. The school board must allocate funds to eliminate athletic fees, which punish our most active students, and improve teacher compensation to continue attracting the best teaching talent to our county. Most important, in the budget we need to set priorities that will help prepare all students for the world they will enter in 2024 with the creativity, foreign-language and STEM skills needed to succeed in the world economy.

Why should voters elect you?

I'm the only candidate who's a graduate and former employee of FCPS and the only candidate with experience managing educational institutions in Virginia and abroad.
