On the Issues

What is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

Fairfax County public schools continue to struggle with the achievement gap and meeting the needs of all their students. Additionally, decisions made by the school system have alienated parents and left teachers out of the decision-making process. However, to address the achievement gap and increase the academic rigor for all students, the system will need to engage the very parents it has alienated and provide an atmosphere where teachers feel empowered to try new things and work together to address their students' needs. The system needs new leadership at every level.

Why should voters elect you?

I will bring to the School Board the passion and commitment to make sure the needs of the students come before Fairfax County public schools.
