On the Issues

What is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

We must sustain our primary mission, educating children, through these challenging times. My career experience is with budgets and finance. We have made the easy cuts. Now we must reduce overhead costs while preserving the highest-quality learning environment. We must be creative in our approaches and not limited by "We've never done it that way" thinking. I will find new avenues for cost savings by asking the hard questions and challenging the status quo. Our schools are among the best in the nation. We must continue to innovate to fully prepare our students for the future.

Why should voters elect you?

I'm an unbiased listener and am guided by facts. I strive for consensus and common sense. I will fight for Springfield District students and parents.
