On the Issues

What is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

We need a school board that will dialogue with the community. Loudoun County faces so many challenges ahead: crowded schools, budget concerns, boundary issues, bus shortages, high-stakes testing, teacher pay, student discipline reform, how to implement all-day kindergarten, how to increase the commercial tax base and most importantly, how to best prepare students for college and/or career success in our changing global marketplace. Our school board must be receptive and responsive to community input and must have a strong, healthy working relationship with the board of supervisors for Loudoun to continue to prosper and progress.

Why should voters elect you?

I am the best qualified. I've served 16 years as a teacher/volunteer. I know the issues. I care deeply about education. I'll engage the community.
