On the Issues

What is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

The most urgent problem is a combination of the following: over-crowding in schools, upheaval of children among schools that results in them becoming victim to the whims of homeowners associations, ephemeral zoning rules, too much politicking and advancement of personal agendas among local elected officials; bullying on school buses (which are not subject to stringent in-school zero-tolerance behavior policies); low compensation and professional support for teachers and staff; lack of tools and technology that can serve as early indicators of individual student progress; lack of a unified team attitude and approach between the school board and board of supervisors.

Why should voters elect you?

I believe that our children are our future; there is no other time than now to provide them with a 21st-century framework for learning.
