On the Issues

What is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

The most important issue for any School Board candidate should be the quality of education received by our students. Although Loudoun has great schools with great teachers and community resources, I believe that a misplaced emphasis on content-based standardized testing has been detrimental to education in Loudoun. We need to get serious about equipping our students with the intellectual tools they will need to succeed in the 21st century. We need less emphasis on memorization of facts and figures, names and dates, and instead focus more on critical thinking, logic and problem-solving skills.

Why should voters elect you?

I will be a zealous advocate on behalf of the taxpayers, parents and students of Loudoun County. Transparency and accountability are essential to Loudoun's success.
