On the Issues

What is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

The most urgent problem facing our jurisdiction is how to reduce overcrowding in our schools when we are in an era of budgetary constraints. Financing the construction of new schools or the renovation of existing ones should be done in a way not to adversely affect our triple-A ratings. One way to tackle the problem is to expand the Virtual High School so that students will have a choice whether to take a course in the classroom or online. Another way is to redraw the attendance boundaries so that we can make optimum use of classroom space.

Why should voters elect you?

As a full-time educator, I am able to bring insights into how to prepare students for success in college and with their careers.
