What is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
Arlington's challenges include providing high-quality customer service in an environment of budget constraints. Innovative solutions must be implemented for efficiently delivering governmental services at the lowest cost possible. As in past years, my office is constantly seeking ways to improve customer service with limited resources. Having overseen the implementation of a new computer system that allows for more efficient access to taxpayer records (both by our staff and by customers themselves via the Internet), my staff is now working to make the system more efficient and customer friendly. Assessing taxes fairly and efficiently ensures that all pay our fair share.
Why should voters elect you?
My office will continue to seek ways to enhance customer service by providing a one-stop shop for local and state services at minimal cost.
