On the Issues

What is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

An inadequate road network and high real estate taxes threaten Loudoun's quality of life. When allocating the county's scarce financial resources, our elected leaders must distinguish between essential government services and ancillary ones that can be reduced or eliminated entirely to bring taxes down. A genuine effort to assist commercial property owners in maximizing their projects' potential is also needed to maximize the local tax revenue that will be generated therefrom. Streamlined approval processes and increased zoning flexibility for commercial projects will expand our commercial tax base and reduce our reliance on real property taxes.

Why should voters elect you?

Fiscal prudence, fair assessments and excellent taxpayer service. Since 2004, while Loudoun grew by 100,000, I have expanded my office's services without increasing staffing levels.
