On the Issues

What is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

An abiding problem is the revolving door of criminal defendants with drug problems who continue to break the law. More resources for both in-jail and out-of-jail treatment programs are needed. Our office will continue to work with the public defender, our judges, probation and treatment experts to design an Arlington-specific drug-court model. Additionally, the use of the Internet as a tool of sexual exploitation of minors is a concern. Our office will continue its close work with law enforcement to prosecute Internet predators who seek to prey on the young and the vulnerable.

Why should voters elect you?

As a prosecutor for 25 years, I have the experience, the leadership skills, the judgment and the passion to do this job well.
