On the Issues

What is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

Hunter Mill District is a great place to live and work, and yet it continues to be plagued by congestion and inadequate transportation infrastructure. The first step is to complete Phases I and II of the Dulles Metrorail project through Tysons, Reston and on to Dulles Airport. With the completion of Metrorail, I will work to create a multi-modal transportation system that must include bus transit, pedestrian and bicycle facilities that connect to jobs, housing and supporting uses, relieving congestion and improving quality of life. Improved transportation with a mix of housing across incomes is critical to maintaining our economy.

Why should voters elect you?

I will continue to be a full-time, accessible and experienced supervisor providing all citizens the opportunity to be involved in the decisions affecting them.
