On the Issues

What is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

Mason District is densely populated, which creates serious transportation needs in our neighborhoods. Providing walkable connections, such as the pedestrian bridge across Route 50 at Seven Corners, sidewalks along Columbia Pike and pedestrian connections on the bridges across the Beltway/HOT lanes, are critical to building a safe, people-friendly community. We must now complete the transit center at Seven Corners and build the Columbia Pike Transit Initiative serving Skyline. Improving multi-modal transportation connections will help alleviate the effects of BRAC 133 and commuter traffic and will benefit the overall revitalization efforts in Mason District.

Why should voters elect you?

I bring deep experience, proven leadership and a positive record of hard work to improve the quality of life we enjoy in Mason District.
