On the Issues

What is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

Economic development is the most urgent problem facing Loudoun County. Our residential property taxes are the highest in the region and make up 82 percent of our property tax revenues. We must encourage business development and good jobs in Loudoun to increase our commercial and industrial tax base and balance our property tax revenues. This will bring some welcome relief to our homeowners. The board has talked about this for years without results. Dulles Airport is an economic engine that we have not taken full advantage of, and we must change that now.

Why should voters elect you?

I care about Loudoun County and its residents. I am a fiscal conservative with experience in local government. I believe in government transparency.
