On the Issues

What is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

Eighty-two percent of Loudoun's revenue comes from residential property taxes. We have an insufficient business base, so almost all of the burden to fund our needs such as roads and schools is on homeowners. We must focus on economic development to expand Loudoun's tax base and bring jobs closer to where our citizens live. This will provide tax relief and help ease congestion. We must also fix our missing road links, such as Loudoun County, Tall Cedars and Claiborne parkways, and widen Route 50 and 606, providing access to future Metro stations and connecting Dulles to the rest of Loudoun.

Why should voters elect you?

I'm the only candidate with private-sector experience. As the father of three, I understand the challenges that families face, and I'll fight for them.
