On the Issues

What is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

As we come out of this recession, we must position the county to make sure we are able to fund essential services, especially transportation, education and public safety, while also reducing the burden of residential property taxes and the overall county debt. This will require even more innovative thinking and effective partnerships with citizen and business groups, as well as federal and state government. It will require a unified board with strong leadership to get this done.

Why should voters elect you?

I offer demonstrated leadership, experience and accomplishment on county, state and regional matters as well as informed and credible ideas to advance our county.
