On the Issues
What is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
The most urgent problem is job creation. The federal government has failed to do what is needed to decrease the national unemployment rate. However, in Virginia, we have reduced spending (took budget back to 2006 levels), protected our right-to-work laws and refused to increase taxes on families and small businesses. As a result, we have one of the lowest rates of unemployment in the nation. But, there is still much more to do. That's why I support the governor's efforts to bring more businesses to Virginia.
Why should voters elect you?
I keep my promises. Opposed higher taxes, voted for $4 billion on over 900 transportation projects and sponsored numerous audit bills to find wasteful spending.
