On the Issues

What is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

The most urgent problem facing Virginia in a time of scarce resources is maintaining our excellent schools and universities to train our future workforce while meeting immediate needs of traffic congestion, finishing the rail extension in the Dulles Corridor and keeping programs in place to meet the needs of our most vulnerable citizens. At the same time, we need to maintain the state's excellent credit rating, balanced budget and civility in its operation of government.

Why should voters elect you?

I have proven leadership skills needed in challenging times. I set politics aside and solve problems without concern of who gets credit.
