On the Issues

What is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

Jobs and economic development are top priorities and are integrally linked with addressing our regional transportation needs and providing our children with a world-class education. We have made tough decisions to maintain Virginia's fiscal balance and AAA rating, but we must continue to protect services essential to our quality of life. I will continue to work to make Virginia a leader in renewable energy, make it easier to start a small business and create a stronger synergy between businesses and our research universities. I will also continue to champion efforts to protect our environment and keep our drinking water safe.

Why should voters elect you?

I am a consensus builder with a record of achievement on important community issues. I work hard to be open and accountable to district residents.
