On the Issues

What is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

As a mother of school-age children, I have seen firsthand how cuts have impacted our classrooms and our kids. Class sizes have increased; arts, music and sports programs have been adversely affected and teachers are working longer hours with fewer resources. In addition, much needed structural repairs to schools have been deferred. It is important to note that the quality of our schools is a major factor in enticing employers to bring new high-paying jobs to our communities. This also has a direct impact on maintaining, and increasing, our home values.

Why should voters elect you?

I will continue my efforts to protect our schools, improve our roads, work to create jobs and keep our children and neighborhoods safe.
