On the Issues
What is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
Preserving Northern Virginia's strong economy and maintaining its quality of life. To achieve these twin goals, we must support our world-class education system, from pre-K to graduate school. We need to protect the environment -- particularly Chesapeake Bay. And no issue is more important to both our economy and our quality of life than transportation. We must face up to the crisis our region faces and find solutions that move people and goods efficiently, or face the consequences.
Why should voters elect you?
In my 14 years in the General Assembly, I've been an effective voice for the issues that matter to Northern Virginians.
