On the Issues

What is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

Traffic keeps getting worse. The needs of Northern Virginia's transportation infrastructure have not been met over the past generation. There is no long-term vision for transportation infrastructure funding. There has been a vacuum of leadership on the Mark Center and the 395 HOT lanes. There has been continual, total failure in getting equitable transportation funding from Richmond. We need true leadership focused on results not partisanship. We need to reform the Commonwealth Transportation Board and other outdated bureaucracies, demand equitable transportation funding metrics, move to a long-term viable funding strategy and capitalize on technology to ease congestion.

Why should voters elect you?

N.Va. deserves honest, effective representation. Richmond needs a shake-up. I offer a fresh, result-oriented, independent and anti-partisan perspective, grounded by a lifetime in diverse N.Va.
