Unit: Army, 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, Fort Lewis, Wash.

Incident: Killed in a "friendly fire" incident when members of his unit mistook an allied Afghan soldier with him for the enemy and opened fire on both men south of Kabul.
