Died: October 27, 2005 in Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Unit: Army National Guard, 1st Battalion, 184th Infantry Regiment, Army National Guard, Modesto, Calif.

Incident: Killed when he was directing security operations in response to the detonation of a makeshift bomb in Baghdad. During this response, a second makeshift bomb exploded near his position.
