Unit: Army, 1st Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kan.

Incident: Died Aug. 27 at Forward Operating Base Naray, Afghanistan, from wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit during combat operations in Jalalabad, Afghanistan.
