"From the get-go, I wanted to stay near home and not go that far," Whack said. "After going up there this weekend, I enjoyed the school and campus and enjoyed hanging with the players and felt close to the coaches." Whack joins the long list of local players to enlist with the Patriots, and he said their success in Fairfax played a role in his choice. He also could have the opportunity to make an early impact.
