What is your telecommuting policy?

Approximately 20% of our staff work remotely. Our company is flexible and willing to consider telecommuting based on business and employee needs.

Work hours vary for OPNET employees based on positions and divisions within the company. To meet the needs of our diverse workforce, OPNET supports flexibility in work schedules.

What kind of skills do you look for in an employee?

Currently, we’re recruiting for exceptionally talented engineers with experience in application performance analysis, network engineering, modeling and simulation and software development who can help further our R&D and professional services. We’re also looking for sales and marketing staff with strong backgrounds and experience with network management products or networking services. Many of our current openings are based out of our Bethesda, Md. headquarters; however, we have several remote opportunities located across the U.S. and worldwide.
Ultimately, we are looking for highly driven, self-motivated individuals that can work in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, with a focus on exceeding both individual and team expectations.

Yes, we are currently hiring. We have several opportunities in our research and development, sales and marketing, and consulting teams.

Yes, OPNET offers unique perks including a nightly dinner benefit for employees based at the headquarters; access to our in-house 24-hour Fitness Center which is equipped with machines for cardiovascular exercise and weight training -- changing rooms and shower facilities are also available on-site. We also have a company discount for gym membership to the Washington Sports Club.
