« Full Profile of ManTech International Corp.

Are you hiring or do you plan to hire this year?

Yes, due to the demand for our advanced technology services and solutions from our federal government customers, we are actively hiring and in fact have over 700 openings across our company. In 2006, we were successful in adding over 1,700 professionals through both organic hiring additions and our strategic acquisitions of SRS Technologies and McDonald Bradley.

Why should people work for your company?

We are a rapidly growing and successful company that supports the national security of our country throughout the world. We promote a culture that encourages individuals to grow, shine and advance, as we bring innovative ideas and technology to those protecting our homeland. ManTech supports its customers in 296 locations around the world, including 40 countries. We offer competitive benefits and compensation, and challenging and rewarding careers in a variety of areas such as: system engineering, systems integration, software development, enterprise architecture, cyber security, information assurance, intelligence operations and analysis support, network and critical infrastructure protection; information operations and information warfare support, information technology, communications integration, logistics and supply chain management, and service oriented architectures.

Additionally, we have an award-winning training and development activity that provides a variety of professional development opportunities for employees.

G.I. Jobs Magazine has named us one of their top 10 military friendly employers for the past two years; and last year, IntelligenceCareers.com readers picked ManTech as one of their top ten favorite employers.

What kind of skills do you look for in an employee?

We look for employees with security clearances and advanced technical skills in: system engineering, systems integration, software development, enterprise architecture, cyber security, information assurance, intelligence operations and analysis support, network and critical infrastructure protection; information operations and information warfare support, information technology, communications integration, logistics and supply chain management, and service oriented architectures. Given that a high percentage of our work is in highly cleared or classified environments, we also seek out professionals with higher-level security clearances (Top Secret and above).

Does your company offer child care on the premises?

No.

Does your company offer commuting benefits?

Yes, we help employees pay for their metro fare cards with pre-tax dollars, using our Flex Fund for transportation and parking.

What is your telecommuting policy?

ManTech is very flexible in allowing our employees to telecommute if possible. However, in many cases our employees are required to work at a ManTech location and/or a customer location that has adequate security facilities because much of our technical activities are classified Top Secret and above. This work can only be performed in an accredited facility pursuant to the security rules and regulations. Sixty five percent of our employees currently have security clearances. Additionally, as part of our global support to our customer’s mission, a number of our employees are operating in more than 40 countries, which of course does not lend itself to telecommuting.

What flexible job opportunities does your company support?

We support flexible job opportunities and hours, as long as it does not conflict with the needs of our customers. As a professional services contractor to the federal government, the vast majority of our positions support the government, where the needs of the customer and the contract terms dictate the nature of the work. However, we recognize that when you live in the Washington metropolitan area you have to give your employees flexibility so they can have a balanced work and family life. Where possible, we will accommodate job sharing and also permit flexible working hours, as long as a core of working hours is maintained.

What kind of educational training does your company provide? Do you offer tuition reimbursement?

We offer tuition reimbursement. We are committed to providing professional development for our employees.
