Does your company offer child care on the premises?

BNA offers company-subsidized emergency backup child care at a nearby facility.

Does your company offer commuting benefits?

Yes. BNA offers commuting benefits. Employees at the Rockville facility and approximately one-third of employees at the Arlington headquarters have free parking on the premises. All other employees may choose between a company subsidy of $65 per month ($780 per year) toward their parking costs, or $75 per month ($900 per year) toward their commuting costs on public transportation. Both are paid on a pre-tax basis.

What kind of educational training does your company provide? Do you offer tuition reimbursement?

BNA has a comprehensive corporate training program that offers a variety of in-house courses and training for employees. In addition, employees can be reimbursed for up to $2400 per quarter, trimester, or semester, for approved coursework at accredited colleges and universities that is related to BNA's business. Reimbursement is made for half the eligible costs at the start of the term and for the balance upon successful completion of a course. All courses toward associate's degrees and bachelor's degrees are considered to be related to BNA's business. Stand-alone undergraduate and graduate courses, as well as coursework toward many graduate degrees (such as accounting, business, communications, journalism, law, library science, public policy, tax, etc.), may be eligible.

BNA stock ownership has afforded many employees the opportunity to build significant financial security over the course of their careers at BNA. A cash profit-sharing plan in which all non-sales employees participate. Last year, the payout represented more than two weeks of additional salary. Generous paid time off (10 paid holidays, annual leave, personal leave, sick leave, bereavement leave, 15 days of paid parenting leave for all new parents). Pro-rated benefits for all part-time employees who work at least 20 hours per week. A traditional defined benefit pension plan, as well as a 401(k) plan. Comprehensive health insurance coverage (medical, prescription drug, behavioral health, vision care, and dental) for employees and retirees, with no premium contributions for employees or their dependents, very low premium contributions for retirees and retiree dependents who are not yet eligible fore Medicare, and no premium contributions for retirees and retiree dependents who are on Medicare. There are no deductibles for services from network providers, and the patient copays are low.
